An expert in industrial control valves, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, director of the Liupan Mountain Laboratory, and dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Ningxia University. He has long been engaged in research on the design of high-end control valves and advanced manufacturing technologies, and has made breakthroughs in key common technologies such as the new principle of composite synchronous pressure reduction, the friction, wear, and corrosion mechanisms of core components, new structural design, new methods for cladding and precision machining of parts, and intelligent manufacturing, thereby making important contributions to the advancement of industrial control valve technology.

Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Yanshan University, and doctoral supervisor. Currently serves as a member of the Party Committee, Standing Committee member, and Vice President of Yanshan University, as well as a member of the Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and a distinguished professor under the Ministry of Education’s Changjiang Scholars Program. His main research interests include dynamics and simulation of complex mechanical systems, automatic transmission and energy-saving control of engineering vehicles, road spectrum acquisition and reproduction, and engineering robots.
